Ever had one of those friends that you just know that they’re not okay even if they say they are? Yes? Walk up to them and give them a hug. A tight one. One that makes them feel secure and vulnerable. You never know what feelings they might let out after hugging/holding them.
Try it. You might be that peson to change their day/night, whatever.

Does that not scare or concern you? The fact that it takes so much just to educate a student? And yet there aren’t enough jobs for every student that even graduates college.
What I wish for all students is some release from the clammy grip of the future. I wish them a chance to savor each segment of their education as an experience in itself and not as a grim preparation for the next step. I wish them the right to experiment, to trip and fall, to learn that defeat is as instructive as victory and is not the end of the world.

Okay. I’ve made it a goal or to-do list sort of thing that when I get a place/room for myself, I’m going to save a dog at a shelter.
But the sad part is not being able to bring him/her home with me when I go on vacation back to Hawaii…….

I realize that every year I set goals for myself, I tend to forget them along the way and never take it upon myself to have some sort of physical copy somewhere to remind me.
