What I wish for all students is some release from the clammy grip of the future. I wish them a chance to savor each segment of their education as an experience in itself and not as a grim preparation for the next step. I wish them the right to experiment, to trip and fall, to learn that defeat is as instructive as victory and is not the end of the world.

College Pressures by William Zinsser

A small paragraph from one of the readings I need to do for my English class. I cannot agree with this statement more than anything right now. I feel like we as students trying to pursue a career try to rush and just get through college without living and experiencing the true essence of it all. Even if you may fail or fall down along the way, we can’t blame ourselves and dwell on something that cannot be undone. All there’s left is to accept it, move on, and learn from it.
